“Innoprom” week, an important trade-industrial cooperation event, has been traditionally held in Central Asia for three years now. The event was organized for the first time in 2021 in Tashkent, and in two years, it was shown as an effective platform for the development of interregional cooperation and industrial cooperation. In order to expand mutual cooperation, in order to create a new environment for the growth of investment, industrial and trade economic cooperation, beneficial projects will be presented by establishing dialogue between regions and countries. Presentations were held in the “Uzekspomarkaz” with an area of 12 thousand square meters. In this exhibition, the experiences of the introduction of new technologies, coordination and implementation of regional industrial policy, and state support for the promotion of industrial development within the framework of the business program were presented. sessions are planned to discuss issues of international cooperation in the field of exchange, industrial development.

As part of the international exhibition, presentations of the investment and industrial potential of various sectors of Uzbekistan, educational sessions and other events covering the main issues of industrial production and cooperation with Central Asian countries, as well as B2B, B2G exchange of contacts were organized.

On April 25 of this year, professors and teachers, doctoral students, master’s and bachelor’s students of the Tashkent State University of Economics participated in the exhibition, where innovative industrial developments and products of major manufacturers, as well as a number of national, regional and corporate stands were displayed. During the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the further development of industrial cooperation and economic cooperation, the directions of mutual relations were defined, concrete proposals and initiatives were made for the further development of cooperation. At the end of the event, it was agreed to sign innovative-corporate cooperation agreements on the creation of cooperation mechanisms in the field of urban environment, production, digitization and automation, introduction of innovative financial products for the implementation of joint projects, as well as deepening of economic partnership between the countries of the region.

On 01.03.2023, the next scientific-methodical seminar for doctoral students and researchers was held at the Tashkent State University of Economics.

Deputy Director of the Center for Researching Problems of Privatization, Competition and Corporate Governance Development at the State Asset Management Agency, i.f.n. Ashurov Zufar Abdullaevich shared his knowledge and experience on the methodological aspects of putting the scientific results of his doctoral dissertation into practice and the requirements for scientific innovation.

In the second part of the seminar, associate professor of the Department of Corporate Economics and Management, Ph.D. Bakhodir Sultanovich Umarov gave detailed information about innovative activities, the role of innovations in scientific research. At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the regulatory and legal basis and potential directions of the mechanisms of commercialization of the product of scientific work.

A meeting with researchers aimed at improving the quality of scientific research

Today, a meeting was held at the Tashkent State University of Economics aimed at improving the quality of scientific research by studying the transparency of scientific councils operating on the basis of compliance control, fighting against corrupt situations in the process of dissertation defense.

In the interview with the rector, vice-rectors, chairmen of the scientific council, chairmen of the scientific seminar, secretaries and members of the council, heads of departments, as well as basic doctoral students, doctoral students, intern-researchers and independent researchers, the implementation of the individual work plan of the researchers, scientific – topics such as the schedule of methodological seminars, support for the publication of scientific results, especially the increase of monographs, the introduction of scientific results into practice were raised, all the questions that tormented the researchers were answered by the university management, and future plans were shared.

At the end of the interview, an anonymous questionnaire was collected from the participants in order to study the transparency of the scientific councils based on compliance control, to fight against corrupt situations during the thesis defense of the candidates.

Prof. Rae Kwon Chung is a South Korean economist and environmentalist who has made significant contributions to the field of sustainable development. He is currently the Chair of the Nobel Peace Prize-winning High-Level Expert Panel on Water and Disasters, and serves as a member of the Leadership Council for the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network.

Prof. Chung has held several high-level positions in the South Korean government and international organizations, including serving as the Chief Climate Change Negotiator for South Korea, and as the Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations. He has played a key role in shaping global policy on climate change and sustainable development, and has been recognized with numerous awards for his contributions to the field.

Prof. Chung is the author of several books and articles on sustainable development and climate change, including “The Economics of Climate Change in China: Towards a Low Carbon Economy” and “Sustainable Development Goals and Human Rights: Legal Guide for the Implementation of SDGs”. His work has focused on the intersection of economic growth, environmental sustainability, and social equity, and he has been a leading advocate for the importance of integrating these issues into policy and practice.
